You MUST keep the logs clear or someone could get YOUR IP and come back and get you with a virus or worse. However, once you crack into someone's PC you are noted on their log. Seems fairly cut and dry, and this is why it's more of a niche game then most. Fortunately there's a Freeware site where you can grab these basics. Your first step would be to get some basic hacking software and low level viruses to install somewhere. Your job is to take over other VPC's, install viruses of various types and version levels and make money and reputation all the while without getting caught by your fellow players. Every player has their own VPC (Virtual PC) with a dedicated Internet connection, a tiny hard drive and an itty bitty external hard drive as well. It's all completely web-based and yet still feels immersive enough to get those little tingles up your spine when you are pulling off something sneaky. I stumbled upon this Slave Hack merely by accident and I've been engrossed for the past few days by it. Ever since I first got ahold of Uplink and played it I have been intrigued with a very small genre known as Hacking games or Hacking Simulations and trying to find a Multiplayer version. Slave Hack is another niche game for the curious.
